Bio – Manuel Zamudio

Manuel Zamudio is a Mexico City born, Texas based painter whose work bridges the visionary language of New Contemporary art with cinematic realism and dystopian mythology. Working primarily in oil, Zamudio constructs vivid portraits and neon lit worlds that explore the tension between technology, spirituality, and the endurance of the human spirit.

Across the Globe...

Zamudio has exhibited extensively across the United States and internationally, including multiple solo shows with Arch Enemy Arts in Philadelphia and Thinkspace Projects in Los Angeles. His work has been featured in museum exhibitions, private collections, and group shows from Hawaii to London, and within key spaces that define the global Pop Surrealist movement.

Rooted in personal mythology...

Rooted in personal mythology and cultural memory, Zamudio’s paintings channel the glow of urban isolation and transcendence—stories of exile, revelation, and rebirth told through faces that seem lit from within. Influenced by film, philosophy, and the aesthetic pulse of dystopian futurism, his evolving Neon universe reflects both a critique and celebration of human progress, where light becomes a symbol of consciousness, memory, and hope.
